About Mrs. McLerran
I love teaching! I graduated from UVU in ASL Deaf Studies Secondary Education. My husband Barry (I call him "Bear") and I have 5 children. Our oldest daughter Colette is Native American. Jeremy is a marketing director, Josh is a writer, a poet and an actor, Anna is a geologist and computer geek who streams COD and other video games, Tim is a doctor. We have 11 grandchildren. We're a lively bunch!
I was born in Charlottesville, Virginia. Our family goes back 17 generations to the captain of the ship that brought John Smith from England in 1607. (My aunt was a genealogist who found some very interesting folks in our family.)
We are also related to Lady Godiva. I do love their chocolates best of all. Or any chocolates, really.
My grandmother's father was the family physician to General Robert E. Lee. When General Lee came to the house to visit, my grandmother sat on his lap and asked for a lock of his hair. He asked for scissors and snipped off a lock.

This picture is of Thomas Jefferson's home in Charlottesville. He called his home Monticello which is Italian for "Little Mountain". I love learning interesting things about history and visiting historical places.
